According to www.hhs.gov/aidsawarenessdays/, becuase of awareness and prevention efforts, HIV infection rates have declined by almost 20% worldwide over the past decade.
Artists like Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Usher, and Jennifer Hudson have taken part in “Digital Life Sacrifice”. This is a campaign organized by Alicia Keys to raise substantial funds for World Aids Day.
The celebrities will stop using their social networking sites on November 30 and will only return to Twitter and Facebook once $1million has been raised for the Keep A Child Alive charity.
